Carnival 2010 climaxed with two days of fun and festivity on the streets of Port-of-Spain, and Ariapita Avenue was, as always, a major centre of Carnival activity.
Throngs came from all over the country, and foreign visitors did as well, to witness the Carnival parades, where colour and creativity were on show for all to see. All along the Avenue, food and drinks were available and music poured out of giant speakers to fuel the revelry. Large costumed bands, with hundreds of participants, as well as individuals and small bands all made the annual festival a feast for the eyes, while spirits soared in the midst of the mas. Surely everyone there would have left with memories to last them till Carnival next year. Click here for pics |
