Tis the season for giving. And on Tuesday night, veteran local rock 'n' roll band jointpop gave their fans something special. Music and merriment were the order of the evening at the band's annual Christmas shindig, Noise And Toys.
Loyal fans, some of whom have supported the band since they started playing music some 12 years ago, turned out to enjoy the good time at what jointpop calls it their office party, at Nex Door Pub on Ariapita Avenue.
Patrons were asked, as always, to bring along a Christmas toy to be donated to a needy child.
Their good deed done, music fans gave themselves over to the sounds of favourite jointpop tunes, like Monday Morning Love Situation and Let's Pray for Rock 'n' Roll.
They lapped up the music and patronised the bar at what has become a kind of home base for the band. Some sat at the bar, while others went up front to enjoy jointpop up close, some singing right along with the lyrics.
After the main event, DJs 3 Imaginary Boys played their signiature mix of alternative hits and underground classics.
